Video GPS trails for bodycam footage
All Axon bodycam videos have GPS paths attached, so whether you import directly through our Axon integration or drag and drop a file, you can see this extra location layer. If you took several bodycam videos at a scene, or had several officers respond, the map view plots all of those paths together so you can explore how the response unfolded. Very cool, we think.
The Videos page can show which recordings have location data and draw the path taken on a map. Extra cool: when you play a video with the Location tab open, you can watch the movement progress across the map at the same time as the footage.
Chat with all images
The Images page now has a dedicated Chat rail for asking questions across photo evidence in a case. Ask “which images might contain narcotics packaging?” or “show me outdoor images with people,” and Chat can use the same visual classifications that power the image filters, not just caption text.
Images are also now auto-classified. Longeye identifies scene type, people present, and possible weapons, drugs, currency, or identity documents, then turns those labels into filter facets so cases with hundreds of photos can be narrowed in a few clicks. Open an image to see the visual cues behind its classification, and image search results are returned more intuitively now by highlighting the matching part of the search result in the image caption.
Better PDFs and evidence search
PDF bookmarks can now be applied to specific pages and specific parts of that page. Cross-file search also lands on the exact matching page instead of dropping you on page 1.
The Files tab now searches inside evidence, not just file names. Transcripts, PDF text, image captions, OCR, and message thread content all feed the results. Type a name, phone number, location, or keyword, and Longeye finds it wherever it appears across the case.
Integrations and evidence handling
We’re working on integrating directly with Securus. If your jail calls come from this system, let us know and we’ll happily work on setting this up for you to bring into Longeye automatically.
Flock ALPR exports and police database search logs now trigger automatic Chat analysis on upload, surfacing patterns like out-of-state queries, federal agency lookups, and per-officer query volumes.
Cellebrite UFDR exports now extract more reliably after a series of fixes to full-device report archives.
Google data exports, including Google Photos LERS, Google Calendar and account exports, and Android Backup files, now capture records that were previously dropped by a parser error, including GPS coordinates, device inventories, upload IP addresses, and calendar entries.
Malware-flagged files now show a quarantine badge instead of producing a silent failed download. Quarantined files cannot be downloaded or exported. And large uploads that take more than 30 minutes now complete because active uploads renew the session instead of getting cut off by the CJIS idle timeout.
A few more things
- Mixed-language audio. Recordings that switch languages mid-conversation translate in full, and files that are mostly English with shorter passages in another language are now labeled clearly, so you always know when a translation is in play.
- Organization download controls. Admins can now restrict all evidence downloads out of Longeye for their whole organization — a single switch for agencies with stricter data-handling rules.
- Jump straight to the moment from Chat. When Chat cites an audio or video file, the citation opens the player at the exact cited moment instead of the start of the file, so you land right where the evidence is.
